Аннотация:
Кратко описаны наиболее интересные результаты, обсуждавшиеся на 8-м Симпозиуме "Долговременные изменения и тренды в атмосфере" (Кембридж, Англия, 27-31 июля 2014 г.). Подчеркивается, что существование охлаждения и оседания средней и верхней атмосферы из-за увеличения количества СО₂ стало очевидным фактом. В настоящее время основное обсуждение проблемы идёт по линии сравнения прогнозов изменения термосферных параметров в различных теоретических моделях и реальных изменений этих параметров, наблюдаемых экспериментально.

Abstract
The most interesting results discussed at the 8^th Symposium "Long-term changes and trends in the atmosphere" (Cambridge, England, July 27-31, 2014) are briefly described. It is emphasized that the existence of the cooling and contraction of the middle and upper atmosphere due to the increase in СО₂ content became an obvious fact. Currently discussion of the problem occurs in the line of comparison of predictions of changes in thermospheric parameters according various theoretical models and real changes in these parameters observed experimentally.
